This is a European type town with cobblestone roads, back alleys, and plenty of eye candy. OldTowne's inspiration came from maps such as "CS_Italy" and "UT4_Casa". The map will feature Twenty Seven's new bump mapping and specular engine modification.
The gallery below was the first alpha shots of OldTowne released to the True Combat: Elite community. Very few details, shaders, or sounds were included. Its sole purpose was to see what the True Combat: Elite community had to say about the layout. Suffices to say the True Combat: Elite community didn't appreciate the overall complexity and size of the map. When in fact OldTowne is dwarfed by some of the other "popular" maps that are played daily. That being said, I have thought about making it smaller for True Combat: Elite. For now, OldTowne for True Combat: Elite is on hold. I plan on releasing it first for Urban Terror to see it's communities reaction. Hopefully more appreciative.
